Admissions Process

Thank you for desiring admission to Community Christian School!

We realize that the admissions process may seem daunting.  Meetings, tours, interviews, and shadowing.  Filling out applications, gathering multiple documents, securing immunization, and student records.  Where do you begin?  While there is a lot of work invested in the admissions process of each student, we will work hard to make this process as simple as possible.  Hopefully the guidelines below will prove helpful.

Step 1:

The first step in the admissions process is a prayerful consideration of the information found throughout this website.  Specifically, as you read through the information found within the About CCS section, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether CCS is the right school for your child.  We are unapologetically Christ-centered.  It is crucial that this fact not simply be accepted, but willfully embraced by CCS parents.

Step 2:

Contact the school office and setup a meeting with our Principal, Elaine Thomason.  She will sit down with you and discuss CCS in detail and answer your questions about the school.  She will also provide you with a tour of our facilities.

Step 3:

Consider planning a shadowing experience for your child.  While this is not required, it is highly encouraged.

Step 4:

As God leads, contact the school office and request that an application for admission be started for your child.  A portion of this process is conducted electronically through our parent portal, InfoDirect.  Your family will be temporarily logged into our system and guided through the process by our staff.  During this part of the process you will have various forms to read and sign.  Some of these forms will pertain to your child's history at his or her currrent or previous school(s).  It is important to remember that certain forms only apply to students entering first grade and above.  Listed below are our enrollment checklists and documents:

Preschool New Enrollment Documents

Kindergarten New Enrollment Documents

Elementary New Enrollment Documents

Step 5:

Once a student's application is complete - including student records and recommendations for students entering first grade and above - an admissions decision will be reached as quickly as possible.  Families will be notified by mail of the school's decision regarding admission.

The timeline of this process ultimately depends on the promptness of the application being completed.  Please do not hesitate to contact the school office and setup a meeting.

We look forward to hearing from you!
